Station house is in a great location, right outside of the LIRR stop and two blocks from the train station. I went there for the first time to meet a friend. The server at the door was really nice and approachable. My friend was a few minutes late so I decided to order a drink while I wait. I ordered the Summer Country old fashioned and it was AMAZING! The rosemary stem that was in there was smoked so it gave the drink depth and the ice tea was a little sweet, overall was a good combination. I ended up having three of them. For food I ordered the impossible tacos, which were a great size and very flavorful with a side of cajun fries. I loved the cajun seasoning they used on the fries. For $9, the fries could have been larger. My friend ordered the chicken nacho and seemed to love them. He said it was seasoned well and was a good size. Station House has a great vibe to it. Definitely some where I could go often if I were in that neighborhood.
I think I've always avoided this spot because I knew how popular it was and just wasn't up for facing a crowd at times. So sad it took this long to get here. The food is really, really good. And the menu itself is super different. The Mexican street corn style fried shrimp had a kick and I wasn't mad about it. The pretzel was good, but pretty generic. The scotch bonnet sliders took the gold medal thought. They were fire. A slight kick but super flavorful. The place itself is pretty standard. High top tables are stationed to the right when you walk in. Nice size bar which makes the best drinks. The Pulp Fiction was a hit. What's in it, I don't know but it did the trick. And it's named after one of my favorite movies. Our server was wonderful and came in clutch with the recommendation. Would definitely fight a crowd to come back here.
Every Bit Delicious! Went to watch the Knicks in the playoff games. Service was friendly and the vibes easy.
Love the ambiance of this place but it's a little dark while trying to read the menu. We asked for something sweet & our server recommended the mojito. We ordered a strawberry mojito & a prickly pear margarita which were both delicious. If you're looking for a great date night spot or after work happy hour with tasty drinks this is the place!
Been here a bit now - for some drinks, for food, and for a combo of both. We've enjoyed our experience each time we've been! They have a drink for everyone (tons of beer options), and food options for all. Great spot, typically room every time we've went (and we've just walked in). Think they have outdoor space in the nice weather too.
Love this place. Good food and great vibes. Only one request.... please bring back your brunch Bloody Mary Supreme......
Really enjoyed the beer selection and pickled pepper wings. Service was great and they were knowledgeable about everything they had to offer which made for an enjoyable experience. The location itself is spacious with plenty of seating, I can't wait to go back.
My friend and I got drunk here lmfao. We ordered the mild wings, had no idea it was mild Buffalo wings (eh) but it was fine. Service was pretty prompt. The place quickly got packed. Cool spot to hang out and get drunk.
Forest Hills Station House is a fun place to eat and drink with friends and was surprisingly very busy on a Thursday night. We went with friends and spent $288 here -- I didn't get a chance to take pictures like I usually do because I had such a good time. From what I can recall: the Brussel sprouts/broccoli were perfectly cooked, the jumbo wings were hot and juicy, and the decadent burger was really good. The braised beef brisket definitely overpowered the burger patty and Boursin cheese but it was still super savory. And how could you go wrong with truffle fries? (The onion rings here are also delicious and crunchy). The drinks here are great, my boyfriend's iced espresso had a good coffee flavor, then you get the alcohol, and then it finishes sweet. Another fun drink we ordered was Thirty, Young, and Dirty, and if you love beets you will enjoy this drink. You get fresh beet juice, basil infused gin, lime, and a bite of ginger. Super refreshing. I would love to come back during happy hour and try more of their menu!
